An excavator dipper stick had worn and ovalised bucket pin bores, requiring repair without removing the boom for workshop transport.
Scope of Work
On-site line boring of dipper stick bores with weld build-up and re-bush.
The Solution
NLC mobilised a line boring unit to site, set up on the dipper stick, weld built up the worn bores and machined them back to specification, then fitted new bushes.
Our Process
Mobilise, set up, weld build-up, line bore to spec, re-bush, return to service.
The Outcome
Excavator returned to operation on site, avoiding costly transport and extended downtime.
